Hábitos de salud e higiene en estudiantes de secundaria y universidad tras la pandemia de COVID-19

Resumen

La pandemia de COVID-19 ha puesto de relieve la importancia de la higiene personal y de la desinfección de objetos y superficies. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar los hábitos de salud y las prácticas de higiene diarias, comparando estos aspectos entre estudiantes de secundaria y universitarios, seis meses después del pico de la pandemia. La investigación se desarrolló durante dos meses y contó con la participación de estudiantes de ambos niveles educativos, quienes respondieron un cuestionario con 25 preguntas relacionadas con higiene, prácticas saludables y conocimientos sobre COVID-19. Los datos fueron analizados mediante estadística descriptiva e inferencial (p<0,05), utilizando el software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), versión 26.0. Los resultados indicaron que los estudiantes de secundaria fueron menos propensos a lavarse las manos luego de usar el baño (p=0,003), mientras que los universitarios reportaron menor regularidad en las compras de limpieza del supermercado (p=0,01), sin mostrar diferencias en otras variables analizadas. Se concluye que los estudiantes de pregrado realizan más prácticas de higiene diaria, pero demuestran menor atención a la desinfección de objetos, mientras que los estudiantes de secundaria priorizan específicamente los productos de limpieza adquiridos en el supermercado.
